Hello and a very warm welcome to Mitchell House School website.

It is my privilege to be Principal of Mitchell House School.  We have to most amazing pupils from the ages of 3-19 years who inspire us every day.  Our specialism is catering for pupils with physical disabilities and associated learning and sensory needs. 

The school team is made up of Teachers, Classroom and General Assistants who cater for the holistic needs of the pupils.  Our curriculum is tailored to in the individual needs of the pupils in each class, aimed at challenging them to be the very best they can be.  As well working hard we also like to have a lot of fun! 

We work closely with our multi-disciplinary team (Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and our School Nurse) who are all based on site every day.  The wider multi-disciplinary team involves running; weekly splint clinic, regular consultant clinics, weekly counselling service, weekly music therapy and so much more!

As well as catering for our pupils in school we also run an outreach service to mainstream schools supporting staff working with pupils who have a physical disability.  Contact us for more information on how to access this service.
