Hello everyone - it’s Raia’s Mummy/Trainer/Paw-parent here and I’ve taken over her account to wish her a very Happy 1st Birthday 🎉🐾
Dear Raia
From the moment you came into our lives at just 4 months old, I knew you were something special. Watching you grow into the incredible assistance dog you are today has been an absolute joy. At school, you’re focused, calm, and always ready to support—but outside of work, you’re the most loving, playful, and cuddly pup I could ever ask for. 🐶💕
You brighten every morning with your snuggles, bring endless laughs with your toy obsession, and are the best company on walks.
Thank you for being my sidekick, my student, my shadow, and my wee chum 💜
I can’t wait to see what amazing things you achieve over the next 12 months.
PS Normal service will resume again!
Episode 2 - look how tiny I am here! I still give the best cuddles 💕 @utv.ni
I did a VERY important job today 🎬 make sure you watch UTV on Friday at 7pm to see what I got up to!
Massive thanks to everyone at @utv.ni for all the cuddles and making the morning so exciting for me. They all said I was a star ✨🐾 (I kind of know that anyway!).
Big bonus for me was getting to see my besties Emma and Simon, I was super excited to see them 💜
I’m going to be on TV 🎉 The new Dogs with Jobs series starts tomorrow night on @utv.ni at 8.30pm. I hope you’ll all be watching out for me!
The summer hols have been pretty chilled out so far, I’ve loved lots of walks and meet ups with my friends (paw and human ones!!).
Hope you’re all enjoying yourselves as much as me ☀️🕶️🐾
School is out for the year! I want to thank everyone for my very special 1st birthday bash last week. Look at all the presents I got 🎁 thanks everyone for your kindness. 🎉
Here are some pictures from the day. I invited some VIPs to visit as well as my VIP dog friend Lexi 🐾
I was sad to say goodbye to the Falcons, they’ve looked after me so well. I know they’ll be amazing in their new adventures but I did tell them to come back and visit for some free cuddles 🥰
Have a fab summer everyone - I’ll update you on some of my fun activities 💜
Raia’s 1st birthday bash 🎉💜
I had my birthday celebrations this week 🥳🎉 A month early because of school holidays but I think it might mean I can just celebrate for a whole month!!
I was so happy to see the VIPs - Gary and Lexi @assistancedogsni , Simon and Emma @utv.ni, Ellie and crew @wingitbelfast
The boys and girls made my day extra special. Every class had a little party organised for me and then we had the whole school out in the playground 🎉
It was a BIG day today! I passed my Level 1 Assistance Dog test 🎉🎉🎉 In a few months I will (hopefully) be a certified Assistance Dog! All my hard work has certainly paid off 💜
I also have to say a big thank you to Team Raia - they are my handlers in school. They helps me learn all the things I needed to know for today.
I’m very proud of myself and how far I’ve come from my first day in school back in November to today 🥰
Thanks to the Rotarians for hosting us for a lunchtime talk in the @europahotelbelfast I was very well looked after with lots of strokes and cuddles! My mummy was giving some sort of presentation about our school, I listened for a while but then she got talking about me so I just stretched out and had a little nap 💤💜
I was a very brave girl on the Glider, buses can be scary at times but I took it in my stride and tried hard not to fall over! Mission accomplished 👏🏻
Do you see how much me and my siblings have grown up? We are coming near the end of our training sessions, I’m really going to miss my weekly catch up with my family. Mummy says we’ve something called a test to do very soon, I’m not quite sure what that’s all about but she did tell me I’ve to be on my best behaviour and make sure my listening ears are on!
I’m loving all my class visits, this week the Robins class took me out for a walk, I love getting to walk with my chums 💜🐾
The Starling class love to get out of their wheelchairs onto the floor to make sure I get the best cuddles - I’m pretty good at giving cuddles you know!
